Dane Austin Design, founded in 2009, is an award-winning, full-service interior design firm based in Boston. The firm specializes in luxury residential interiors throughout New England, Washington, D.C., and across North America. Recent accolades include being named Interior Designer of the Year by the IFDA, one of Boston’s Top Residential Interior Designers by Architectural Digest in 2024, winning the 2023 Best of Modern Luxury for Transitional Design, receiving the IFDA New England 2022 Diamond Award, and being recognized as one of House Beautiful’s 2022 Next Wave designers.

BIO
Dane Austin believes that when we live in homes that are beautifully designed and aligned with our personal definitions of comfort and wellness, our lives feel complete. It is this ideal that inspired him to establish his design firm, Dane Austin Design.
Dane’s journey in design began at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University. He furthered his studies in Europe, exploring the history of decorative arts at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London and attending the Institut d’Études Supérieures des Arts in Paris.
Early in his career, Dane gained experience in fashion before specializing in luxury interiors. His passion for design quickly became evident as he created beautiful, bespoke interiors for clients who were drawn to his keen eye for color and innate sense of style.
Throughout his career, Dane has earned numerous accolades, including being named in House Beautiful’s Next Wave, Home & Design’s Top 100 Designers, Interiors’ Best of Luxury Design, New England Home Magazine’s 5 Under 40 award, the Excellence in Design award from ASID, and the IFDA Diamond Award.
A sought-after speaker and guest lecturer, Dane also mentors design students across Massachusetts. He serves on the board of Boston Architectural College and is a past board member of the American Society of Interior Designers and Fenway Health’s Art Advisory Board. He shares his gambrel shingle-style home, built in 1905, with his dog—a Great Pyrenees Shepherd mix named Harry—and a joyfully rotating cast of friends and family.

The DADI team believes it is vitally important for clients to know they are in good hands—this assurance allows each client to fully enjoy the journey of the design process, as well as the final outcome.
As precise as they are in their work, Dane and his team are equally known for their warm, friendly demeanor, quickly earning their clients' trust. Perhaps that’s why the design team frequently works on multiple homes for the same clients—some of whom they’ve had the pleasure of serving for over a decade.

Caitlin collaborates with the design team and trades using her diverse design experience. Her professional background includes communications, graphic arts, advertising, retail merchandising, event planning décor, floral design, and residential interior design. Whether working on and prepping for a presentation, installation, photoshoot, or styling a home, she will always stop and smell the flowers.

FINANCE
Stasia began her career in fashion merchandising before earning a Master of Science in Computer Information Technology to become a systems analyst. She joined DADI to combine and apply her finance, purchasing, and organizational backgrounds. She particularly enjoys helping cultivate lasting relationships. When she is not at the computer or chauffeuring her children, Stasia enjoys the great outdoors, cooking, photography, and travel.
Katie supports the daily administrative operations of the firm as an executive assistant to the leadership team. As a client care coordinator, her organizational skills, friendly demeanor, and customer service experience provide clients, vendors, trades, and supporting teams with a cheerful and helpful contact to address their needs. In her free time, Katie loves to travel to new places with her husband and two boys.
CHERYL
PRESS
Cheryl brings her skills as a content creator, and marketing and public relations professional to the Dane Austin Design, Inc. team. She has been an award-winning freelance writer for more than 25 years, but has applied her craft in the home design industry for the past 15 years. A graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, MA, Cheryl has made her home in the Boston area since then. When not writing and reading, Cheryl is mostly likely in her garden.

SUPPORT
James is an organizational consultant who empowers public, private, and nonprofit clients to realize their creative visions. His strategic management and branding solutions are backed by over 15 years of experience in operations, engagement, and program design. James holds a BA in urban studies from Harvard University and a master’s degree in environmental science and public policy from the University of Maryland. He is based outside Washington, DC.
YIAN
Branding
Yian is an independent designer and content writer living in New York City. He collaborates on high-level creative projects, specializes in creating brand assets for our team, and is an ideal partner in launching new and refreshed online content. Yian understands the nature of design and asks all the right questions to offer sound advice and overall strategy. A great communicator, his process is extremely well-defined and easy to navigate.
PRISCILLA
PROCUREMENT
Priscilla enthusiastically manages the purchasing and procurement department, overseeing and processing all orders, tracking shipments, managing receiving, troubleshooting, coordinating repairs and replacements, providing status reports, storing items, and ensuring timely delivery. She is a consummate professional and a true team player.
